The foliage is deciduous here, though it can be evergreen in Z8.
Flowering begins in late May and continues sporadically into August or later.
On the Royal Horticultural Society's website, Graham Rice singled this cultivar out on his list of the 10 best hardy geraniums for the garden. He claims that, compared to most G. x oxonianum cultivars, it is more compact and upright, and less inclined to sprawl. In 2007, the RHS granted this cultivar its coveted Award of Garden Merit.
At the Chicago Botanic Garden's hardy geranium evaluations, this cultivar was stolen.
Happy in most soils. Performs well in full sun to partial or dappled shade. Flower color may bleach in full sun.
