This plant grows fast and is 30 cm. (1 foot) across in one season. It flowers well, but only does well in cool-summer countries if grown at the base of a south-facing wall.
I've given it a neutral score only because it is not very hardy, and even in Cornwall, UK. (z.9b) rarely survives winter outside without some protection during frosty nights. It is only as hardy as Lampranthus - which has far better flowers, but the delosperma flowers for longer.
Like all of the Aizoaceae, it needs well-drained soil.
