I saw one in a park near me: Cal sycamore is already a beautiful tree, Roberts is more so.
I bought my own the other day. With a trunk an inch and a half in diameter it is already showing beautiful white bark. I planted it to replace a ratty Siberian elm I had removed. I will add to this post in the future with details of growth and habit.
December 2014 update: The tree started at 2 feet tall last April. It is now 12 feet tall and has turned a beautiful gold color. It's the best fall color I have seen on a Sycamore.
