By the beginning of June we had beautiful heads of green leafy lettuce, covered with rose colored markings - a really nice looking lettuce. Of the four varieties of lettuce we grew, this one was the best producer and the tastiest of the bunch. We generally pulled leaves from the outer edges of the plants and continued to harvest leaves off of them until July. At that point, we hit a hot spell and the lettuce bolted. However, the production until that time was high, uniform, easy, pest free, and delicious.
I would definitely recommend this lettuce and will grow it again. In fact, I have already re-planted it for a fall harvest as well. Probably the best butter lettuce available.
