They have done well through 2013, not experiencing any great problems, as Phomopsis Blight, that can harm many Creeping Junipers. They turn bronzy-purple in winter like most other cultivars of this species. The birch grew to full size quickly and I limbed them upward so that the shade situation is part-shade of some full sun in morning and late afternoon and shade in the mid-day. This species thrives best in full sun, but part shade has been fine also.
