Mount Pleasant, South Carolina is known for very hot summers. I've read that this cultivar can take the heat, but the jury is still out as to whether it can take OUR heat. Generally speaking, petunias are spring and fall flowers in this area. I'm going to try the shock wave, though, and see what happens.
