Quite tolerant of dry spells in the North (zone 7a) once established, but probably has its limit since a willow. Has been pruned hard several times, but have now decided it will be the feature. Rather fast grower. Certainly an attention getter. Wouldn't part with it. Only found locally from Springville Orchard, and seems to do better in my more clayey soil than theirs (sandier).
