I really like the flowers on these plants so I had to have one for 2011 and now I am just waiting to see the blooms at my house this year...Read More. I really wanted a yellow one but I have not seen one of those in 3 years at the local Home Depot. I had gotten this plant at the store for $10.98 and it differs from mine I lost last year as the flower is smaller and so are the leaves. I was able to stick it outside in a nice large pot with some good soil and a trellis. I heard they do not like temps below 50degrees so it was a guessing game on getting it outside and yes at one point I had to drag the hug pot back indoors due to the way below 50 mark. The plant is starting to climb the trellis but not as aggressive as my Griant Crimson(I bought some of those baby hair claw hair clips to direct some of the shoots.) It's June 5th 2011 and I am just waiting for the blooms to start. Right now it gets about 6 1/2hrs of sun in late afternoon till sunset(summer months it will def get more) if for some reason the lighting has changed I will have to move it, my friends was in full sun and it was full of blooms and was huge! She did over winter hers with success indoors too! I lost mine due to not enought light indoors during the winter last year but I have solved that problem this year and will try again.
