The short-stemmed leaves are flat, oval to cylindrical and mottled in color. White-pink flowers are borne on long spikes, not more than 1/2", in summer.
CULTIVATION:
They prefer well-drained soil in a partially shaded position and are frost tender. Propagate from stem or leaf cutings, or from seed. All members of this genus are vulnerable to mealybug.
ADROMISCHUS UMBRATICOLA SYN COTYLEDON TRIGYNA:
Indigenous to the Transvaal area, umbraticola has thick, oval-shaped green leaves with reddish orange margins.
