This...Read More garlic survived winter temps down to 0*F with no mulch and summer temps up to 110*F without blinking. Bulb size was excellent, and easily as large as the seed bulbs that I purchased. This variety out performed both all the softnecks and all of the hardnecks that I grew, although the perfermance difference was smaller between it and the other hardnecks. This was my number one producer from the 2006 planting.
I don't have a very sophisticated pallet, so I can't really judge it against the taste of other garlic I grew - except to say it was, as were the others, MUCH stronger, spicier and picant than any store bought one I've ever tasted. This one was particularly spicey - nearly Hot. I loved it.
