This bright color, along with its height, make it visible from a long way away. It has returned reliably for at least fifteen years and I may even have one or two more than were originally planted. A beautiful, hard working tulip.
I planted these in fall of '06, and had a beautiful show the next spring. Now, in '08, many have returned. This is unusual for tulips in ...Read Moremy climate. They are one of the latest tulips to bloom in my garden, which is good for extending the tulip season.
They are tall and slender, with pointed petals. Kind of silvery-pink color, with hints of lilac. They look nice with purples, but not with bright pink, red or other warm colors.
