Species Orchid, Spathoglottis, Slender Spathoglottis, Yellow Ground Orchid

I keep it...Read More outdoors unless temps go into the 40s (it turns purplish in a bad way, if left out in too cool weather). I had one in the ground a couple of years ago; temps got into the mid-20s, and I lost it, even though I had it covered. I really love the beautiful, graceful, sunny yellow flowers - there have been about a dozen bloom spikes, each with about 4-6 buds.

This orchid looks very similiar to a Mokara or a Dendrobium orchid. For fresh cut flower arranging, the stem is a little short.
