It's autumn down there but spring where I live. What to do??? Sow now or wait until it's autumn here?? Or - vernalise seed in the fridge???

Avellanos o not tolerate well the heat of a zone 9b where I live. 4 hours sun is enough for them.
The roasted fruit is edible.
These trees can be propagated was well from seeds as from cuttings (late spring, early summer, as well as early/mid winter) in a cold sand bed with rooting hormones, cutting back the leaves.
Propagation from seeds: during Autumn in individual pots, using a mix of 1 portion compost, 1 portion acidic soil and half a portion river sand.
This tree is beautiful for foliage used very much in flower arrangements) as for the beautiful red fruits.
