It freezes back to the grou...Read Morend each year after a hard freeze, and returns from the tuberous root, in Spring.
It has typical legume/pea foliage, and twines counter clockwise.
I gave this neutral because although it is drought tolerant and heat tolerant, it has yet to bloom for me, (even once), after three or four years of growing it.
I guess its bloom time is too late for our freeze dates. It would probably do better in zone 9, than our 8.
