It can be quite sprawling and looks best when shaped into a tidy tree. It’s tolerant of our sandy soil and doesn’t need much water, and produces masses of glorious yellow flowers when most everything else is dying back. It’s a Sulphur Butterfly attractor to boot. There seem to be a number of similar varieties of this plant, so it may be that one of the varieties is invasive, but not the plants I’m familiar with.
