Mine are hanging at least two feet down the sides of the pot. The catalog I bought them from said they would hang over the sides of the pot down to four feet. The purple practically glows it is so vibrant. Like petunias they like to be fed. I feed mine once a week with Miracle Grow. They also like water. Provide afternoon shade in the heat of the summer , say from 3pm on.
