It does spread, so site it accordingly. These Sundroos are more of a pass along plant. If you don't have some, I highly suggest it. It is similiar to the more common Oenothera fruiticosa, but more refined, in my opinion. Perhaps it is upstaged by the latter, but for my money, this is the one to go for.

Then they form little basal rosettes of shiny foliage for the rest of the season. And even though it doesn't look they're doing anything, they are sending out underground stems about 8" in all directions that will sprout into new plants in the spring! So this little plant makes a great groundcover for your flowerbeds. But if it begins to overstep its bounds, it is easily dug up and moved at any time. It is also very easy from seed.
