I cut it bac...Read Morek in the spring (we had huge ice storm this year) and it came back in a big way. I would say it looked best in mid-June, large mounded shape (20" high and 2.5 feet wide) with many hot pink blooms. It has now become large enough that the mound is falling away from the center. I want to know if this is cut back will it rebloom this season. Last year when it was small, it bloomed in to the fall season. I do not want to cut my blooms if it is not going to come back and bloom more this season. It is a great plant and I want to learn how to propagate it so I can share it.

Planted in garden (instead of container) and hoping it overwinters for my zone 6 garden. 6/17/07, The 'Hot Pink' Salvia overwintered and is doing great! I've been pinching it back to promote a fuller plant and it has some blooms on it right now. I'll have to take some pics of it after this unseasonably hot weeks of temps end. Bought from Crownsville Nursery.
