P. radiatum, though, gets much more complex with its indentations as it matures, more than any current pictures.

Notes on watering: Like most Araceae vines, this plant prefers foliar watering to pot watering. The plant produces thick air roots for grabbing rainwater, and loves being showered daily.

Notes on Davesgarden information about this plant:
The plant produces fertile inflorescence like all Araceae, but knowledge of the morphology of the inflorescence is required to get them to produce seed. Female parts go through anthesis first (meaning they are ready to receive pollen) , then the following night to 3 nights later the male parts mature producing ample amounts of pollen.

For those of us with a plant producing multiple inflorescence this poses little problem, but outside of tropical climates it is unlikely to see 1 inflorescence much less the 5 or 6 being produced on my plants here in SW Colombia at the moment.

Notes about lighting: This plant likes diffused sunlight. Using polyester shade netting at 50% shading works perfectly for this species as well as many other Araceae.

To the devs: This site is nice, but for updating information on Araceae it is almost impossible as details are not equal to perrenials or other flowering plants. Also in leaf color, why is there no "green" "light green" "dark green"??? This seems very odd to me that describing plants does not include a simple green?

This large philodendron has deeply incised leaves with scalloped margins. It requires the warm winters of South Florida.
