Large, dark rose-pink and orange flower clusters form on the ends of branches. Can be used for cut flowers. Plant in full sun in a well-drained soil. Hardy to the mid 20° F. This is a beautiful large shrub. It has been very difficult to produce so we only have limited quantities. The name 'Long John' comes from a combination of the names of the two parent species, Grevillea longistyla and G. johnsonii, that were involved in this hybrid."

Our late spring and summer weather is cool with many foggy and windy days. However, the LongJohns have thrived and are now constantly in bloom and approx 6.5 ft tall each. They are beautiful against the bamboo fence and very striking to look at. The hummingbirds and bees love them. The LongJohns also work as cut flowers for several days. They make incredible vase displays. I highly recommend this grevillea for showy garden plant. I will post pix soon.
