It has a nice neat habit, easy to grow, the deer haven't touched it, and the pure white color goes with everything.

While this might be this person's experience, most of the Dianthus gratianopolitanus cultivars should be spaced 6-12" apart, not 2'. According to Plant Delights Nursery, this particular Dianthus will spread and make a tight mound to 4' wide.
