This older, somewhat hard to find upright rex is well worth the effort of finding. It is beautiful and showy, but what is really special ...Read Moreabout it (because there are lots of rexes you could say that about) is that it is also easier to grow than most rexes. It is not fussy, seems a bit more tolerant of dry air, and is also less prone to mildew than most. (Not completely resistant, but the last to get it, never the first.) The coloring is soft but rich, a shimmery lavender and green, and it looks as good in summer as winter. I've grown over 100 different begonias, and this one is a real stand-out. I highly recommend this plant.
