The seeds are very small, if you are purchasing them, you might want to get the pelleted ones. I bottom watered while inside. I used peat pellets as the growing medium.

an interesting thing happened... although i left all those pots out over winter, in temps to below 0f, and usually covered with snow, the pink petunias in the green pot actually came back - probably self-sown. they seem to be cascading as well as the magenta/purple wave petunias i bought this year and planted in the pot with them, and look about the same in color and size as they did last year.
