The fruit is bigger than my other pluots this year, kind of a green-yellow-purple mix of color that ripens to yellow/purple. They are supposed to be ripe around late August from what I understand, but I have already eaten some pretty good ones off the tree as early as late July.
The taste, in my opinion, has a mild to moderate sweetness and obviously tastes like plum, but also some kind of tropical fruit. There is also a hint of earthiness and a faint spice-like flavor that reminds me of cloves. Great crunchy texture.
