It propagates best by planti...Read Moreng the leaves, which form a curious swelling at the junction of the petiole and leaf blade. A small 'bulb' type structure forms there and the leaves sprout from the top of the bulb. Bury the petiole in a light soil medium, the leaf eventually gives way to the new plant.
Begonia emeiensis has fantastic chartreuse stigma on the female flowers, though it is not an especially floriferous begonia. It has proven itself relatively hardy for me, zone 9a.
