It is a pale thorny white thicket kind of thing with nondescript blooms. It looks the most spun out during the summer when it looses most of its leaves. You can abate this a bit by watering it aggressively. The plants have sent out runners as well, despite me not watering it. It has terminal thorns too. It does make edible berries, it is related to goji berries. The berries are red and somewhat sour/bitter/sweet with a tomato flavor when fresh; it is something of an acquired taste. It is quite drought tolerant, so it can give you fruit in a very dry garden.
