Others [e.g., Charles (2010)] feel that the best treatment would be eliminate the name "C. serpens" entirely and classify the non-serpentine plants as "C. neoroezlii" and the serpentine species as "C. longiserpens".
Plants under C. roezlii are a mess too, and probably C. roezlii is synonym of C. neoroezlii (and thus C. serpens if you consider neoroezlii a synonym of serpens).
