It is a very comm...Read Moreonly grown bamboo in Indonesia and its use is primarily pulp... doesn't have the straightest culms for construction. It's a bit cold sensitive (supposedly 30F is its minimum but frost into the mid 20s haven't hurt it much). Culm diameter maxes out at about 5" and it can grow up to 60', at least in a tropical climate (probably less here in So Cal).
