Hybrid Epiphyllum, Orchid Cactus, Epicactus 'Creme de Menthe'

And it does flower a second time later depending on fertilization and amount of light. If it didn't get enough light it won't flower no mater what fertilizer you use. I water it the same way I care for my succulents. The flower have a strong scent of vanilla and lemon during the day when the sun is out around noon- evenings to attract moths and other night flying insects. This variety is huge! Success has its downside, strangers has stolen many cuttings from my front porch! I can't imagine someone will be bold enough to come to my door step and steal a cutting. It has attracted too much attention, other nicer neighbors have complimented and ask for many cuttings. The bloom is a monster about 7-9 in across. The mother plant needs a barrel to contain and not top over itself. I have rescue it from a remodeling home and the workers have toss it out of its pot. I ask them if I can have it and they looked at me like I'm crazy. Now I have many baby plants that I sometimes sell them. It doesn't require warm weather to flower; I live in foggy SF very coastal. Oh for the love of this giant cactus.
