It never really took off ...Read Moreand although it produced some fruits, they were few and far between. The taste of the fruits was good, not outstanding. I only had one plant so I will try it again. I did not experience the catfacing problem on my plant here in Iowa, but catfacing is partly environmental, so that may explain it. In any case, I'm neutral on it for now due to the low productivity.

The flavor is a creamy, tender, acid/sweet combination. The fruits are very fleshy with small seed cavities and few seeds, especially for a beefsteak type. Tastes pretty good, but worse than Purple Ponderosa for catfacing. Not as disease resistant either.
