In ...Read Morecomparison the fruit is long, slender, and the skin is tender, purple and shiny. We picked fruit at 10"-12" long around 2 " in diameter, no seeds and very tender. Fried with zucchini and found that I liked the taste of this eggplant better than the zucchini. These plants are loaded with blooms and so far have yielded 2-3 fruit(depending on size) per plant every couple of days. They have just started producing for us. In comparison 1 Swallow eggplant is producing the same as 2-3 Black Beauty eggplants. Currently our temperature is in the mid 90's with heat indexes 100°-110 ° and the plants look great. In comparison to the Black Beauty eggplant we have decided to grow these instead next year, my dad said "It's a keeper" and I agree! We have already given samples to our other friends with gardens so they can experience them as well.
