They grew beautifully within a week of good watering and sunlight. They did tend to wilt after a few days of minimized watering but pepped up well after watering. Leaves are prone to insect damage but look fine with the reddish stem backdrop. Already, a flowerhead is formed.
This plant is cultivated in Mexico for Dia De Los Muertos festivals and harvested for its grain.
