In the Ft. Myers area these plants are taking over. Whole lawns have been changed from bahaia grass to mexican violets in less than three...Read More years. I am not against this since they are low growing, stay green and apparently don't require much care. right now they are in full bloom and are attractive. I don't know how a bad frost will affect them.
