I didn't make a note of when I planted it, but It flowered for the first time 2 years ago. It didn't flower last year, but this year it 's spectacular. It started flowering at the beginning of spring, and seems to only flower on the old wood.
Mine is growing in a shady area. It mainly get's filtered morning sun. It's a joy to find something so bright for shady spots. However, I read that it can also take full sun.
Does anyone know if this plant is invasive? Does anyone near Houston, Texas own one?
