On 12th January 2008 in an Oak tree behind my home near Lincoln UK. I thought it was a female, but could be an immature male.

On 20th April, a male on the left, with a Tree Sparrow on the right and I think a Dunnock in the middle, all waiting for bits of dropped nuts.

A male on 16th June on my pergola, waiting to feed on peanuts. They often wait until they see bits of nuts drop when other birds feed, then drop to the ground. Woodpeckers bring in flocks of birds!
