Description: 5.5 inches; bright yellow throat and upper breast; bold yellow spectacles; two white wing bars; white belly and undertail coverts; thick bill with hooked upper mandible; dark eye; olive head and back; gray rump; wings and tail dark; blue-gray legs.
Sexes similar, juvenile similar to adult.
Habitat: Mature moist woodlands, semi-open deciduous forests, towns, orchards, along streams and lakes, shade trees. Often seen foraging near tops of tall deciduous trees.
