Four Western Tanagers spotted this morning at my koi pond for the very first time!
A real surprise-brightly colored and tropical in appearance. I thought I was looking at an escaped parrot.

They pass through here annually, but do not stay the summer. Beautiful birds.

We sight these guys about 2-3 times a year. They seem very shy though and I can't seem to get them to stay.
