Elf Owl

All 7 images I posted are courtesy of; copyright of Jan Emming of Destination:Forever Ranch and Gardens, a 40 acre desert botanical garden/sustainable living homestead in Arizona. This owl family is living in a hole made in his saguaro cactus by a previous tenant of the cactus, a pair of northern flickers (a type of woodpecker, Colaptes auratus). The pair of northern flickers had drilled the nesting hole.

There is a male and a female pictured.
