Smoky Wainscot

Mythimna impura

Taken on 17th July 2008, Lincoln UK. Wingspan 31-38mm, flying June - August, sometimes later in the south. Occupying downlands, sand dunes & rough grassy areas, grass being the larval food plant.

Similar to the Common Wainscot, but with smoky suffusion on the wings.
