Taken on 24th July 2008, Lincoln UK. Wingspan 35-40mm, it flies in July and August. Prefers wooded areas.

The caterpillars feed mainly on grasses, but also on other low plants such as Dandelion and Chickweed.

As well as having pink shading on the forewings, it also has it under the abdomen!
