Taken on 28th June 2007. This fly is large, the colour mimicks the bumblebee whose nest is a host to it's larvae.

It's antennae are feathery.

It has a large cone on it's face, the yellow section between the eyes have tooth-like protrusions at the bottom.

They have a long, broad feeding tongue which appears to come from behind the cone but well up. It looks to be moving at a fast pace!
