Newly emerged Tersa Sphinx Moth is quite cooperative to sit on Ben's finger. The morning after it emerged is was asleep when daylight came and easy to pick up and release.

After awakening the newly emerged Tersa, we released it into the garden beside the Black & Blue Salvia. It had a quick snack and found a place to sleep until nightfall.

i saw her outside my door one evening. I thought it was a cool moth worth taking a picture of. I have seen some interesting bugs with my new butterfly garden

This moth sat on our front porch screen all day. It was easy to photograph. I think it is a Tersa Sphinx.

Tersa sphinx moth about 3-4 hours after eclosion. I found the chrysalis laying in my lawn and kept it in a jar to see what it would become.
