Seen in mid-June in Pennsylvania. This bug flies easily.

These bugs are small, about a third of an inch / 7mm. On a hardy geranium.

This photo was taken in mid-May 2009. If I had only known then what I know now 60 days later. Cranesbill is ruined and suspect it on Hydrangea, Bell Pepper, and Knock-out /rose
