This is a pretty little insect that we are happy to have around. One of the plants it favours is the Smartweed, along with others in the genus Polygonum. Many of which are not native to our area. So, please, dine to your heart's content, little PA Flea Beetle.
At times the species name is spelled with two n's, but that is incorrect. It is pensylvanica.
