| Laramie Columbine Aquilegia laramiensis I have one living and well thriving pure white columbine living comfortably in a 24" large floor planter on my patio along with some other variety that have pink, purple and white colored blossoms. This plant was somewhat of a surprise as I had planted them as a back border for begonias last spring for my mom.. As they took over her garden I never had any blooms, just healthy foilage. I stuck some cuttings in the planter and they survived. They sat in SW Michigan thru a very cold winter and were forgotten until the first of April when the foilage re-appeared to my surprise. They tripled by June and produced at least 50 bloosoms which then revealed a cluster of pure white ones. Very beautiful and such a interesting flower from bud to blossom to seed pod. Hope to cultivate, germinate and give my daughter a very easy, hassle free colorful border for her backyard.
