| Light Speckled Kidney Bean Phaseolus vulgaris Tarkabab. Common Hungarian eating bean. This is a cultivar commonly sold for seed. The seed pods are also distinctive, dark pink and green striping/mottling. I think it is "light speckled kidney bean" but that there are probably also other cultivars of light speckled kidney bean in the world. Tarkabab just means "speckled bean" and the Rocco and Pinto varieties are sold labeled Tarkabab in Hungary for planting, with their separate cultivar names on the package.
