Lupinus Lupine
Mixed, mostly shades of bluish ? purple, may have pink and whites. I love these large, beautiful long lasting perennial flowers. So natural and woodsy.
Like all lupines, the seed of this one is large and hard. Many soak the seed before planting to soften the seed coat. Others recommend scratching the seed with sandpaper or a file to help the hard seed coat "break" after planting. I just let the plant naturally replant itself (the pods "pop") and have lots throughout the gardens. | | Seeds |
