Aralia Species
Aralia spinosa

The Devil's Walking Stick or Hercules Club sprout in the understory of in a wooded corner of my lot. They are very spiny and must be handled with care. They make a nice natural barrier and privacy screen during the summer.

I would like to trade for other native species in Kentuckiana around Louisville.

Hairy Mock Orange
Philadelphus inodorus

Mock Orange is listed as "rare" in Indiana. These volunteer in my rain garden next to a mature shrub. I have several that are 1' tall that I wish to move, and will have new seeds in late summer.
Mock Orange blooms late spring (NOW) when most spring flowering shrubs are spent and summer-flowering shrubs are not yet blooming. White petals, dark yellow center.

Mock Orange is a nice background or mixed wild border shrub that grows to about 8' tall x 5' wide at top. Trunks with shreddy bark are visible at bottom- this is not a "bushy" plant at the base.

I wish to trade for other native plants and shrubs in Kentuckiana, around Louisville KY.
