Foeniculum vulgare - wild fennel.
This is a great plant with aromatic seed which can be added to any amount to dishes. Fish and other veg like avacado especially good. Great in omlettes too Mmmm.
It seems to attract a lot of beneficial pollinating insects - hoverflies adore it.
it's massive though and needs a big space but so easy from seed flowering in its first year.
it may be inclined to topple over if planted in an exposed site but the plants I raised last year have really thickened up and produced much stronger stem this year which anchor it better. A great plant for the wildlife garden and cooks! | | Seeds |

YUCCA No Idea as to species but huge mustard yellow flowers huge earthy coloued stems. Tried searching out this one but no luck. Grows to about 6ft or more.
Perloined from municiple car park in Shrewsbury UK. Is anyone else a seed thief? Sowed a few myself and are all doing well - despite the rain. | | Seeds |
