Hesperaloe Species
hesperaloe parviflora

This succulent has arching and spreading grass-like foliage to 3 to 4 feet tall. The long, narrow blue-green leaves sometimes turns slightly purple in cold winters. Clumps spread slowly to up to 6 feet wide. It blooms from spring through summer with clusters of rose-pink flowers on tall red flower stalks to 5 feet long, that arch up and outward. These flowers attract hummingbirds. Plant in full sun or light shade in good draining soil. It's a great xeriscape which does best in a hot spot in the garden but appreciates occasional irrigation in summer to encourage flowering but do not over water. Hardy to between 0° - 120° F. I am looking for Lupinus albifrons seeds or plants.

Lupinus Species
Lupinus chamissonis

I have a single small plant that I purchased w/out doing my research first, thinking it might be very similar to the albifrons species I really wanted, but didn't realize this species would crawl and mound more than the albifrons, which is more upright. Yes, I would like to trade this for an, you guessed it, albifrons. This species has a more vivid blue rather than the purple-lavender albifrons bloom; same silver-green colored foliage.

Penstemon Species
Penstemon Spectabilis

Penstemon spectabilis is a 3' perennial with lavender flowers in April-June. Native to southern California hillsides and coastal bluffs. This is a nice plant for borders in the back of gardens. Penstemon can survive between 20-110 degrees F., little rainfall, in full sun. This is an easy plant for most southern California gardens. Do not over water; it prefers good drainage and sun. Showy Penstemon can survive with minimal maintenance, given the above conditions. I am looking for a Lupinus albifrons seeds, cuttings, or small plant.
